À propos de Kelly

Les mots de Kelly.

I believe that understanding ourselves is one of the most meaningful gifts we can give ourselves. Many of the people I work with are carrying questions they have lived with for years, wondering why they feel the way they do, why certain patterns keep repeating, or why life feels harder than it should. My role is not to have all the answers. It is to create a space where we can become curious together, helping you make sense of your experiences and discover the answers that already exist within you.

People often tell me they feel comfortable talking with me because they know they will be met with kindness, honesty, and without judgment. I want therapy to feel like a conversation where you can take a deep breath, be yourself, and know that your story matters. Together, we will explore what has shaped you, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving you, and work toward changes that feel meaningful and lasting.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than twenty-five years as a Federal Parole Officer. That experience strengthened my belief that every person deserves to be understood before they are judged. I naturally notice patterns that are often overlooked, and I believe understanding ourselves with compassion creates the opportunity for meaningful change. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they reconnect with themselves, build hope, and move forward with greater confidence.

Faites connaissance avec Kelly

Un peu de contexte.

What is it like working with you?

I hope you feel comfortable from the moment we begin. Creating a sense of safety comes naturally to me, and my goal is for you to feel accepted just as you are, without fear of judgment. Therapy is a place where you can laugh, cry, reflect, or simply be.

What do you like most about being a therapist?

I enjoy witnessing the moment when someone begins to understand themselves in a new way. I don't find fulfillment in giving people answers. I find fulfillment in watching people discover their own.

How do you take care of your own mental health?

I stay active, spend time in nature, travel, continue my own personal therapy, and make space for reflection, learning, and meaningful relationships. I believe caring for ourselves allows us to care more fully for others.

What would you say to someone nervous about starting therapy?

Feeling nervous about starting therapy is completely understandable. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before we begin. We will start wherever you are, move at a pace that feels comfortable, and create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported.

What drew you to this field?

I've always been curious about people and what shapes the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural extension of my belief that meaningful change begins with understanding rather than judgment.
